OliverDrift'S14 Intro & Technical Breakdown

Intro

I have Owned the car since 2015 when it was bought to replace my street S15 and be the base for a serious motorsport build for drifting, tarmac rally, circuit racing, and maybe some shows and maybe a burnout comp... Basically the perfect car that is good at everything.

Wow.. what a task I had ahead of me.

Through the years the car has evolved pretty dramatically, and im often forgetting the massive list of things I have done over that time, some are obvious, but many things will not catch the eye straight away.

Once the basics were rushed together the car was straight into drift practice.. in hind sight the car was nowhere near ready, and it ended in tears, eventually a hesitation issue started occuring when getting back onto the throttle mid drift at the S section of Wanneroo Raceway. Ended up sliding onto the grass and smashing the front left corner on the wall sending bits of my dreams into the sandpit.

This prompted a more methodical and patient approach to building the car. Out comes the panel beating tools and some skills. The car had the front wheel arches tubbed and whole front end repaired by Rob @ Ultimate Panel & Paint Neerabup. He did an exceptional job and would recommend anyone contact him!

Technical Breakdown
Meanwhile I decided now was the time to re do all of the things I was not happy with engine and body wise.
It has had almost all the parts either reconditioned as standard, quality aftermarket items installed, or handcrafted custom work by me, my brother, dad, a good fabricator friend and of course kindys little helping hands.

Id say im about 70% through the build, but the car is driving great, and frying tyres at drift events!
It has also been a fantastic way of testing parts before offering them to our customers, youl see many parts we sell on display on this car * and some things that are no longer on the car and not for sale because they didnt meet my high standards!
